SCREAM
The website http://listentoamovie.com allows you to listen to a movie rather than watch it. You can combine this with the script which you can find here: http://www.script-o-rama.com/oldindex.shtml
I've chosen the film Scream as an example. The opening scene can be used simply as a listening task. You can also use it for prediction or a continuation exercise. All other ideas are very welcome.

You can also use the opening scene as a video resource. An idea could be to watch it with the sound off and students have to invent their own dialogue for the phone conversation.
(Frustratingly, I can only find it with German subtitles.)
